Judges 8:4
ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು ಯೊರ್ದನಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಜನರೂ ದಣಿದವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಆಗ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಆಹಾರ ತಿನ್ನುವವನು ಶಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಜನರು ದಣಿದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಜನರು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಕ್ಮಾಷಿನಿಂದ ಅಯ್ಯಾಲೋ ನಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಸದೆಬಡಿದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ದಣಿದುಹೋದರು.
