ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ನಿದ್ರಿಸಿದನು; ಅವರು ದಾವೀದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನ ಮರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದದವರೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಘನಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಮನ ಸ್ಸೆಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಆಳಿದನು.
