ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲು ನನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡು ಅಂದನು.
