Lamentations 2:17
ಕರ್ತನು ತಾನು ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆತನು ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ತನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಕನಿಕರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವನ ಕೊಂಬನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

| of old: | קֶ֔דֶם | qedem | KEH-dem |
| down, thrown hath he | הָרַ֖ס | hāras | ha-RAHS |
| and hath not | וְלֹ֣א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| pitied: | חָמָ֑ל | ḥāmāl | ha-MAHL |
| enemy thine caused hath he and | וַיְשַׂמַּ֤ח | wayśammaḥ | vai-sa-MAHK |
| rejoice to | עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ | ʿālayik | ah-LA-yeek |
| over | אוֹיֵ֔ב | ʾôyēb | oh-YAVE |
| up set hath he thee, | הֵרִ֖ים | hērîm | hay-REEM |
| the horn | קֶ֥רֶן | qeren | KEH-ren |
