ಆಕೆಗೆ ಆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಅಶುದ್ಧಳಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನಿಗೆ ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಶಪಿಸುವ ನೀರು ಆಕೆ ಯೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಕಹಿಯಾಗುವದು; ಅವಳ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಉಬ್ಬಿ ತೊಡೆ ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗುವದು. ಆಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಪವಾಗಿರುವಳು.
