וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב Israel va-YAY-shev יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל abode yees-ra-ALE בַּשִּׁטִּ֑ים in ba-shee-TEEM וַיָּ֣חֶל Shittim, va-YA-hel הָעָ֔ם and ha-AM לִזְנ֖וֹת the leez-NOTE אֶל people el בְּנ֥וֹת began beh-NOTE מוֹאָֽב׃ to moh-AV -
וַתִּקְרֶ֣אןָ they va-teek-REH-na לָעָ֔ם called la-AM לְזִבְחֵ֖י the leh-zeev-HAY אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ן people ay-loh-hay-HEN וַיֹּ֣אכַל unto va-YOH-hahl הָעָ֔ם the ha-AM וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּ sacrifices va-yee-sheh-ta-huh-VOO לֵֽאלֹהֵיהֶֽן׃ of LAY-loh-hay-HEN -
וַיִּצָּ֥מֶד Israel va-yee-TSA-med יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל joined yees-ra-ALE לְבַ֣עַל himself leh-VA-al פְּע֑וֹר unto peh-ORE וַיִּֽחַר Baal-peor: va-YEE-hahr אַ֥ף and af יְהוָ֖ה the yeh-VA בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ anger beh-yees-ra-ALE -
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר the va-YOH-mer יְהוָ֜ה Lord yeh-VA אֶל said el מֹשֶׁ֗ה unto moh-SHEH קַ֚ח Moses, kahk אֶת Take et כָּל kahl רָאשֵׁ֣י all ra-SHAY הָעָ֔ם the ha-AM וְהוֹקַ֥ע heads veh-hoh-KA אוֹתָ֛ם of oh-TAHM לַֽיהוָ֖ה the lai-VA נֶ֣גֶד people, NEH-ɡed הַשָּׁ֑מֶשׁ and ha-SHA-mesh וְיָשֹׁ֛ב hang veh-ya-SHOVE חֲר֥וֹן them huh-RONE אַף up af יְהוָ֖ה yeh-VA מִיִּשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ before mee-yees-ra-ALE -
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר Moses va-YOH-mer מֹשֶׁ֔ה said moh-SHEH אֶל unto el שֹֽׁפְטֵ֖י the shoh-feh-TAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל judges yees-ra-ALE הִרְגוּ֙ of heer-ɡOO אִ֣ישׁ Israel, eesh אֲנָשָׁ֔יו Slay uh-na-SHAV הַנִּצְמָדִ֖ים ye ha-neets-ma-DEEM לְבַ֥עַל every leh-VA-al פְּעֽוֹר׃ one peh-ORE -
וְהִנֵּ֡ה behold, veh-hee-NAY אִישׁ֩ one eesh מִבְּנֵ֨י of mee-beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל the yees-ra-ALE בָּ֗א children ba וַיַּקְרֵ֤ב of va-yahk-RAVE אֶל Israel el אֶחָיו֙ came eh-hav אֶת and et הַמִּדְיָנִ֔ית brought ha-meed-ya-NEET לְעֵינֵ֣י unto leh-ay-NAY מֹשֶׁ֔ה his moh-SHEH וּלְעֵינֵ֖י brethren oo-leh-ay-NAY כָּל kahl עֲדַ֣ת a uh-DAHT בְּנֵֽי Midianitish beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל woman yees-ra-ALE וְהֵ֣מָּה in veh-HAY-ma בֹכִ֔ים the voh-HEEM פֶּ֖תַח sight PEH-tahk אֹ֥הֶל of OH-hel מוֹעֵֽד׃ Moses, moh-ADE -
וַיַּ֗רְא when va-YAHR פִּֽינְחָס֙ Phinehas, pee-neh-HAHS בֶּן the ben אֶלְעָזָ֔ר son el-ah-ZAHR בֶּֽן of ben אַהֲרֹ֖ן Eleazar, ah-huh-RONE הַכֹּהֵ֑ן the ha-koh-HANE וַיָּ֙קָם֙ son va-YA-KAHM מִתּ֣וֹךְ of MEE-toke הָֽעֵדָ֔ה Aaron ha-ay-DA וַיִּקַּ֥ח the va-yee-KAHK רֹ֖מַח priest, ROH-mahk בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ saw beh-ya-DOH -
וַ֠יָּבֹא he VA-ya-voh אַחַ֨ר went ah-HAHR אִֽישׁ after eesh יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל the yees-ra-ALE אֶל man el הַקֻּבָּ֗ה of ha-koo-BA וַיִּדְקֹר֙ Israel va-yeed-KORE אֶת into et שְׁנֵיהֶ֔ם the sheh-nay-HEM אֵ֚ת tent, ate אִ֣ישׁ and eesh יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל thrust yees-ra-ALE וְאֶת veh-ET הָֽאִשָּׁ֖ה both ha-ee-SHA אֶל of el קֳבָתָ֑הּ them koh-va-TA וַתֵּֽעָצַר֙ through, va-tay-ah-TSAHR הַמַּגֵּפָ֔ה ha-ma-ɡay-FA מֵעַ֖ל the may-AL בְּנֵ֥י man beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of yees-ra-ALE -
וַיִּֽהְי֕וּ those va-yee-heh-YOO הַמֵּתִ֖ים that ha-may-TEEM בַּמַּגֵּפָ֑ה died ba-ma-ɡay-FA אַרְבָּעָ֥ה in ar-ba-AH וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים the veh-es-REEM אָֽלֶף׃ plague AH-lef -
וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר the vai-da-BARE יְהוָ֖ה Lord yeh-VA אֶל spake el מֹשֶׁ֥ה unto moh-SHEH לֵּאמֹֽר׃ Moses, lay-MORE -
פִּֽינְחָ֨ס the pee-neh-HAHS בֶּן son ben אֶלְעָזָ֜ר of el-ah-ZAHR בֶּן Eleazar, ben אַֽהֲרֹ֣ן the ah-huh-RONE הַכֹּהֵ֗ן son ha-koh-HANE הֵשִׁ֤יב of hay-SHEEV אֶת Aaron et חֲמָתִי֙ the huh-ma-TEE מֵעַ֣ל priest, may-AL בְּנֵֽי hath beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל turned yees-ra-ALE בְּקַנְא֥וֹ my beh-kahn-OH אֶת wrath et קִנְאָתִ֖י away keen-ah-TEE בְּתוֹכָ֑ם beh-toh-HAHM וְלֹֽא from veh-LOH כִלִּ֥יתִי the hee-LEE-tee אֶת children et בְּנֵֽי of beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel, yees-ra-ALE בְּקִנְאָתִֽי׃ while beh-keen-ah-TEE -
לָכֵ֖ן say, la-HANE אֱמֹ֑ר Behold, ay-MORE הִנְנִ֨י I heen-NEE נֹתֵ֥ן give noh-TANE ל֛וֹ unto loh אֶת him et בְּרִיתִ֖י beh-ree-TEE שָׁלֽוֹם׃ my sha-LOME -
וְהָ֤יְתָה he veh-HA-yeh-ta לּוֹ֙ shall loh וּלְזַרְע֣וֹ have oo-leh-zahr-OH אַֽחֲרָ֔יו it, ah-huh-RAV בְּרִ֖ית and beh-REET כְּהֻנַּ֣ת his keh-hoo-NAHT עוֹלָ֑ם seed oh-LAHM תַּ֗חַת after TA-haht אֲשֶׁ֤ר him, uh-SHER קִנֵּא֙ even kee-NAY לֵֽאלֹהָ֔יו the lay-loh-HAV וַיְכַפֵּ֖ר covenant vai-ha-PARE עַל of al בְּנֵ֥י an beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ everlasting yees-ra-ALE -
וְשֵׁם֩ the veh-SHAME אִ֨ישׁ name eesh יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל of yees-ra-ALE הַמֻּכֶּ֗ה the ha-moo-KEH אֲשֶׁ֤ר Israelite uh-SHER הֻכָּה֙ hoo-KA אֶת that et הַמִּדְיָנִ֔ית was ha-meed-ya-NEET זִמְרִ֖י slain, zeem-REE בֶּן even ben סָל֑וּא that sa-LOO נְשִׂ֥יא was neh-SEE בֵֽית slain vate אָ֖ב with av לַשִּׁמְעֹנִֽי׃ the la-sheem-oh-NEE -
