ಮತ್ತಾಯನು 20

1 ತನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳು ಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಹೊರಟ ಮನೇ ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ಪರಲೋಕರಾಜ್ಯವು ಹೋಲಿ ಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

2 ಅವನು ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಪಾವಲಿಯಂತೆ (ಪೆನ್ನಿ) ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

3 ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂರನೆಯ ತಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಗೆಹೋಗಿ ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಸಂತೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು

4 ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಸಹ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ಸರಿಯಾದ ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವರು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.

5 ಅವನು ಸುಮಾರು ಆರನೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಒಂಭತ್ತನೆಯ ತಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

6 ತರುವಾಯ ಸುಮಾರು ಹನ್ನೊಂದ ನೆಯ ತಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಹೊರಗೆಹೋಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಕೆಲಸವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವದೇಕೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

7 ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯಾರೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೂಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದರು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಸಹ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಹೊಂದುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು.

8 ಹೀಗೆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲವಾದಾಗ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟ ದ ಯಜಮಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೇವಾರ್ತೆಯವನಿಗೆ-- ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಕೊನೆಯವನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನ ವರೆಗೆ ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

9 ಸುಮಾರು ಹನ್ನೊಂದನೆ ಯ ತಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಒಂದೊಂದು ಪಾವಲಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದನು.

10 ಆದರೆ ಮೊದಲು ಬಂದವರು ತಮಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ದೊರೆಯುವ ದೆಂದು ನೆನಸಿದರು. ಆದರೂ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಪಾವಲಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದನು.

11 ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದಾಗ ಮನೇ ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣು ಗುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ--

12 ಕಡೆಯವರಾದ ಇವರು ಒಂದೇ ತಾಸು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಸಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಮಗೆ ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಮಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದರು.

13 ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ತನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಒಂದು ಪಾವಲಿಗೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

14 ನಿನ್ನದನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು; ನಿನಗೆ ನಾನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಂತೆಯೇ ಈ ಕಡೆಯವನಿಗೂ ಕೊಡುವೆನು.

15 ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತದ್ದನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಬಂದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವದು ನನಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಾನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನಾದ ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿದೆಯೋ ಅಂದನು.

16 ಹೀಗೆ ಕಡೆಯವರು ಮೊದಲನೆಯವರಾಗುವರು; ಮೊದಲನೆಯವರು ಕಡೆಯವರಾಗುವರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಅನೇಕರು; ಆದರೆ ಆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

17 ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಂಗಡವಾಗಿ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--

18 ಇಗೋ, ನಾವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಕುಮಾರನು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೂ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು; ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮರಣ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸುವರು.

19 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡು ವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕೊರಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆಯುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವರು; ಮತ್ತು ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

20 ತರುವಾಯ ಜೆಬೆದಾಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ತಾಯಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆತ ನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಆತನನ್ನು ಏನೋ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದಳು.

21 ಆತನು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನೀನು ಏನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಆಕೆಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ -- ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ನನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರು ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು ನಿನ್ನ ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸ ಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಳು.

22 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ -- ನೀವು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದೇನೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು. ನಾನು ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದಾದೀತೇ? ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಹೊಂದುವ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಹೊಂದು ವಿರೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಆಗುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ

23 ಮತ್ತು ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಕುಡಿಯು ವದು ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಹೊಂದುವ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಹೊಂದುವದು ನಿಜ; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಾ ಗಲೀ ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಾಗಲೀ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವದು ನನ್ನದಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದ ಯಾರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅದು ಸಿ

24 ಬೇರೆ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸಹೋದ ರರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡರು.

25 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದು--ಅನ್ಯ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುವರೆಂದೂ ದೊಡ್ಡವರು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವರೆಂದೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ಹಾಗಿರಬಾರದು.

26 ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿ ರಲಿ

27 ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಪ್ರಮುಖನಾಗಬೇಕೆ ಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಳಾಗಿರಲಿ.

28 ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಕುಮಾರನು ಸಹ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಅನೇಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಈಡುಕೊಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಂದನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

29 ಅವರು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಜನರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹವಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.

30 ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಯೇಸು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ದಾರಿಯ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತಿದ್ದ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುರುಡರು ಕೇಳಿ--ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ದಾವೀದನಕುಮಾರನೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಡು ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

31 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿ ರುವಂತೆ ಜನರ ಸಮೂಹವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವರು--ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ದಾವೀದನಕುಮಾ ರನೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆ ಯಿಡು ಎಂದು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.

32 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ನಿಂತು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು--ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೀವು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

33 ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ತೆರೆಯಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದರು.

34 ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದನು; ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಹೊಂದಿದವು; ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.

1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.

31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.

32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
