ಅರ್ಖೆಲಾಯನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಹೆರೋದನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಯೂದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟನು; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಕನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನಾಗಿ ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡನು.
