Luke 16:13
ಯಾವ ಸೇವಕನೂ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಯಜಮಾನರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಲಾರನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಸುವನು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವನು; ನೀವು ದೇವರನ್ನೂ ಧನವನ್ನೂ ಸೇವಿಸಲಾರಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

ನನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವವನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ; ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಸದೆ ಇರುವವನು ಚದರಿ ಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಸೈತಾನನೇ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಆರಾಧಿಸಿ ಆತನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನೇ ಸೇವಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬದಾಗಿ ಬರೆದದೆ ಅಂದನು.
