ಆಗ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿಪ್ಪೋರನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಎದ್ದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೆಯೋರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬಿಳಾಮನನ್ನು ಕರೇ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ದನು.

ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಂಡ 22:5
ಇವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದೇಶದ ನದಿತೀರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪೆತೋರಿಗೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಬೆಯೋರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬಿಳಾಮನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಒಂದು ಜನಾಂಗವು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟಿತು; ಇಗೋ, ಅದು ಭೂಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ನನಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ನೀವು ಐಗುಪ್ತವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬರುವಾಗ ಅವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೀರನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಎದು ರಾಗಿ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೆಸೊಪೊ ತಾಮ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪೆತೋರಿನಿಂದ ಬೆಯೋರನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಬಿಳಾಮನನ್ನು ಕೂಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ತರಿಸಿದರು.

ನನ್ನ ಜನರೇ, ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿ ದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಬೆಯೋರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಶಿಟ್ಟೀಮು ಮೊದಲು ಗೊಂಡು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಆದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಈಗ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳು ವಿರಿ.
