ರಾಹುತರ ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಲ್ಲಿನವರ ಶಬ್ದದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಪಟ್ಟಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುವದು; ಅಡವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಕ್ಕು, ಬಂಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತುವರು; ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಡುವವು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡನು.

ಯೆರೆಮಿಯ 52:7
ಆಗ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ವಿಭಾಗವಾಯಿತು; ಯುದ್ಧಸ್ಥರೆಲ್ಲರು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ, ಅರಸನ ತೋಟದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎರಡು ಗೋಡೆಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದ ಬಾಗಲಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟು, ಬೈಲು ಸೀಮೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋದರು. ಆದರೆ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಇದ್ದರು.
ಯೆರೆಮಿಯ 39:4

ಆದಕಾರಣ ಕರ್ತನು ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವರು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಂಕೋಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ದರು.

ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅರಸನ ತೋಟದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎರಡು ಗೋಡೆಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಗಲ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು; ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನು ಬಯಲು ಮಾರ್ಗ ವಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
