Jeremiah 25:31
ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಂತ್ಯಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ಘೋಷವು ಬರು ವದು; ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವದೆ; ಆತನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ವಾದಿಸುವನು; ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವೆನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ರಕ್ತದಿಂದಲೂ ವಾದಿಸು ತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನ ದಂಡುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವನೊಂದಿಗಿರುವ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನೂ ಗಂಧಕವನ್ನೂ ನುಣುಪಾದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಹರಿಯುವಂತಹ ಮಹಾ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವೆನು.
