וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב Jacob va-YAY-shev יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב dwelt ya-uh-KOVE בְּאֶ֖רֶץ in beh-EH-rets מְגוּרֵ֣י the meh-ɡoo-RAY אָבִ֑יו land ah-VEEOO בְּאֶ֖רֶץ wherein beh-EH-rets כְּנָֽעַן׃ his keh-NA-an -
אֵ֣לֶּה׀ are A-leh תֹּֽלְד֣וֹת the toh-leh-DOTE יַֽעֲקֹ֗ב generations ya-uh-KOVE יוֹסֵ֞ף of yoh-SAFE בֶּן Jacob. ben שְׁבַֽע Joseph, sheh-VA עֶשְׂרֵ֤ה being es-RAY שָׁנָה֙ seventeen sha-NA הָיָ֨ה ha-YA רֹעֶ֤ה years roh-EH אֶת old, et אֶחָיו֙ was eh-hav בַּצֹּ֔אן feeding ba-TSONE וְה֣וּא the veh-HOO נַ֗עַר flock NA-ar אֶת with et בְּנֵ֥י his beh-NAY בִלְהָ֛ה brethren; veel-HA וְאֶת and veh-ET בְּנֵ֥י the beh-NAY זִלְפָּ֖ה lad zeel-PA נְשֵׁ֣י was neh-SHAY אָבִ֑יו with ah-VEEOO וַיָּבֵ֥א the va-ya-VAY יוֹסֵ֛ף sons yoh-SAFE אֶת of et דִּבָּתָ֥ם Bilhah, dee-ba-TAHM רָעָ֖ה and ra-AH אֶל with el אֲבִיהֶֽם׃ the uh-vee-HEM -
וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל Israel veh-yees-ra-ALE אָהַ֤ב loved ah-HAHV אֶת et יוֹסֵף֙ Joseph yoh-SAFE מִכָּל more mee-KAHL בָּנָ֔יו than ba-NAV כִּֽי all kee בֶן his ven זְקֻנִ֥ים children, zeh-koo-NEEM ה֖וּא because hoo ל֑וֹ he loh וְעָ֥שָׂה was veh-AH-sa ל֖וֹ the loh כְּתֹ֥נֶת son keh-TOH-net פַּסִּֽים׃ of pa-SEEM -

וַיַּֽחֲלֹ֤ם Joseph va-ya-huh-LOME יוֹסֵף֙ dreamed yoh-SAFE חֲל֔וֹם a huh-LOME וַיַּגֵּ֖ד dream, va-ya-ɡADE לְאֶחָ֑יו and leh-eh-HAV וַיּוֹסִ֥פוּ he va-yoh-SEE-foo ע֖וֹד told ode שְׂנֹ֥א it seh-NOH אֹתֽוֹ׃ his oh-TOH -
וַיֹּ֖אמֶר he va-YOH-mer אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם said uh-lay-HEM שִׁמְעוּ unto sheem-OO נָ֕א them, na הַֽחֲל֥וֹם Hear, ha-huh-LOME הַזֶּ֖ה I ha-ZEH אֲשֶׁ֥ר pray uh-SHER חָלָֽמְתִּי׃ you, ha-LA-meh-tee -
וְ֠הִנֵּה behold, VEH-hee-nay אֲנַ֜חְנוּ we uh-NAHK-noo מְאַלְּמִ֤ים were meh-ah-leh-MEEM אֲלֻמִּים֙ binding uh-loo-MEEM בְּת֣וֹךְ sheaves beh-TOKE הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה in ha-sa-DEH וְהִנֵּ֛ה the veh-hee-NAY קָ֥מָה field, KA-ma אֲלֻמָּתִ֖י and, uh-loo-ma-TEE וְגַם lo, veh-ɡAHM נִצָּ֑בָה my nee-TSA-va וְהִנֵּ֤ה sheaf veh-hee-NAY תְסֻבֶּ֙ינָה֙ arose, teh-soo-BAY-NA אֲלֻמֹּ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם and uh-loo-MOH-tay-HEM וַתִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֖יןָ also va-tee-sheh-ta-huh-VAY-na לַֽאֲלֻמָּתִֽי׃ stood LA-uh-loo-ma-TEE -
וַיֹּ֤אמְרוּ his va-YOH-meh-roo לוֹ֙ brethren loh אֶחָ֔יו said eh-HAV הֲמָלֹ֤ךְ to huh-ma-LOKE תִּמְלֹךְ֙ him, teem-loke עָלֵ֔ינוּ Shalt ah-LAY-noo אִם thou eem מָשׁ֥וֹל indeed ma-SHOLE תִּמְשֹׁ֖ל reign teem-SHOLE בָּ֑נוּ over BA-noo וַיּוֹסִ֤פוּ us? va-yoh-SEE-foo עוֹד֙ or ode שְׂנֹ֣א shalt seh-NOH אֹת֔וֹ thou oh-TOH עַל indeed al חֲלֹֽמֹתָ֖יו have huh-loh-moh-TAV וְעַל dominion veh-AL דְּבָרָֽיו׃ over deh-va-RAIV -
וַיַּֽחֲלֹ֥ם he va-ya-huh-LOME עוֹד֙ dreamed ode חֲל֣וֹם yet huh-LOME אַחֵ֔ר another ah-HARE וַיְסַפֵּ֥ר dream, vai-sa-PARE אֹת֖וֹ and oh-TOH לְאֶחָ֑יו told leh-eh-HAV וַיֹּ֗אמֶר it va-YOH-mer הִנֵּ֨ה his hee-NAY חָלַ֤מְתִּֽי brethren, ha-LAHM-tee חֲלוֹם֙ and huh-LOME ע֔וֹד said, ode וְהִנֵּ֧ה Behold, veh-hee-NAY הַשֶּׁ֣מֶשׁ I ha-SHEH-mesh וְהַיָּרֵ֗חַ have veh-ha-ya-RAY-ak וְאַחַ֤ד dreamed veh-ah-HAHD עָשָׂר֙ a ah-SAHR כּֽוֹכָבִ֔ים dream koh-ha-VEEM מִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִ֖ים more; mee-sheh-ta-huh-VEEM לִֽי׃ and, lee -

וַיְקַנְאוּ his vai-kahn-OO ב֖וֹ brethren voh אֶחָ֑יו envied eh-HAV וְאָבִ֖יו him; veh-ah-VEEOO שָׁמַ֥ר but sha-MAHR אֶת his et הַדָּבָֽר׃ father ha-da-VAHR -
וַיֵּֽלְכ֖וּ his va-yay-leh-HOO אֶחָ֑יו brethren eh-HAV לִרְע֛וֹת went leer-OTE אֶׄתׄ to et צֹ֥אן feed tsone אֲבִיהֶ֖ם uh-vee-HEM בִּשְׁכֶֽם׃ their beesh-HEM -
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר Israel va-YOH-mer יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל said yees-ra-ALE אֶל unto el יוֹסֵ֗ף Joseph, yoh-SAFE הֲל֤וֹא Do huh-LOH אַחֶ֙יךָ֙ not ah-HAY-HA רֹעִ֣ים thy roh-EEM בִּשְׁכֶ֔ם brethren beesh-HEM לְכָ֖ה feed leh-HA וְאֶשְׁלָֽחֲךָ֣ the veh-esh-la-huh-HA אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם flock uh-lay-HEM וַיֹּ֥אמֶר in va-YOH-mer ל֖וֹ Shechem? loh הִנֵּֽנִי׃ come, hee-NAY-nee -
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר he va-YOH-mer ל֗וֹ said loh לֶךְ to lek נָ֨א him, na רְאֵ֜ה Go, reh-A אֶת I et שְׁל֤וֹם pray sheh-LOME אַחֶ֙יךָ֙ thee, ah-HAY-HA וְאֶת see veh-ET שְׁל֣וֹם whether sheh-LOME הַצֹּ֔אן ha-TSONE וַֽהֲשִׁבֵ֖נִי it va-huh-shee-VAY-nee דָּבָ֑ר be da-VAHR וַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֙הוּ֙ well va-yeesh-la-HAY-HOO מֵעֵ֣מֶק with may-A-mek חֶבְר֔וֹן thy hev-RONE וַיָּבֹ֖א brethren, va-ya-VOH שְׁכֶֽמָה׃ and sheh-HEH-ma -
וַיִּמְצָאֵ֣הוּ a va-yeem-tsa-A-hoo אִ֔ישׁ certain eesh וְהִנֵּ֥ה man veh-hee-NAY תֹעֶ֖ה found toh-EH בַּשָּׂדֶ֑ה him, ba-sa-DEH וַיִּשְׁאָלֵ֧הוּ and, va-yeesh-ah-LAY-hoo הָאִ֛ישׁ behold, ha-EESH לֵאמֹ֖ר he lay-MORE מַה was ma תְּבַקֵּֽשׁ׃ wandering teh-va-KAYSH -
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר he va-YOH-mer אֶת said, et אַחַ֖י I ah-HAI אָֽנֹכִ֣י seek ah-noh-HEE מְבַקֵּ֑שׁ meh-va-KAYSH הַגִּֽידָה my ha-ɡEE-da נָּ֣א brethren: na לִ֔י tell lee אֵיפֹ֖ה me, ay-FOH הֵ֥ם I hame רֹעִֽים׃ pray roh-EEM -
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר the va-YOH-mer הָאִישׁ֙ man ha-EESH נָֽסְע֣וּ said, na-seh-OO מִזֶּ֔ה They mee-ZEH כִּ֤י are kee שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ departed sha-MA-TEE אֹֽמְרִ֔ים hence; oh-meh-REEM נֵֽלְכָ֖ה for nay-leh-HA דֹּתָ֑יְנָה I doh-TA-yeh-na וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ heard va-YAY-lek יוֹסֵף֙ them yoh-SAFE אַחַ֣ר say, ah-HAHR אֶחָ֔יו Let eh-HAV וַיִּמְצָאֵ֖ם us va-yeem-tsa-AME בְּדֹתָֽן׃ go beh-doh-TAHN -
וַיִּרְא֥וּ when va-yeer-OO אֹת֖וֹ they oh-TOH מֵֽרָחֹ֑ק saw may-ra-HOKE וּבְטֶ֙רֶם֙ him oo-veh-TEH-REM יִקְרַ֣ב afar yeek-RAHV אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם off, uh-lay-HEM וַיִּֽתְנַכְּל֥וּ even va-yee-teh-na-keh-LOO אֹת֖וֹ before oh-TOH לַֽהֲמִיתֽוֹ׃ he LA-huh-mee-TOH -
וַיֹּֽאמְר֖וּ they va-yoh-meh-ROO אִ֣ישׁ said eesh אֶל one el אָחִ֑יו to ah-HEEOO הִנֵּ֗ה another, hee-NAY בַּ֛עַל Behold, BA-al הַֽחֲלֹמ֥וֹת this ha-huh-loh-MOTE הַלָּזֶ֖ה dreamer ha-la-ZEH בָּֽא׃ ba -
וְעַתָּ֣ה׀ now veh-ah-TA לְכ֣וּ therefore, leh-HOO וְנַֽהַרְגֵ֗הוּ and veh-na-hahr-ɡAY-hoo וְנַשְׁלִכֵ֙הוּ֙ let veh-nahsh-lee-HAY-HOO בְּאַחַ֣ד us beh-ah-HAHD הַבֹּר֔וֹת slay ha-boh-ROTE וְאָמַ֕רְנוּ him, veh-ah-MAHR-noo חַיָּ֥ה and ha-YA רָעָ֖ה cast ra-AH אֲכָלָ֑תְהוּ him uh-ha-LA-teh-hoo וְנִרְאֶ֕ה into veh-neer-EH מַה some ma יִּֽהְי֖וּ pit, yee-heh-YOO חֲלֹֽמֹתָֽיו׃ and huh-LOH-moh-TAIV -
וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע Reuben va-yeesh-MA רְאוּבֵ֔ן heard reh-oo-VANE וַיַּצִּלֵ֖הוּ it, va-ya-tsee-LAY-hoo מִיָּדָ֑ם and mee-ya-DAHM וַיֹּ֕אמֶר he va-YOH-mer לֹ֥א delivered loh נַכֶּ֖נּוּ him na-KEH-noo נָֽפֶשׁ׃ out NA-fesh -
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר Reuben va-YOH-mer אֲלֵהֶ֣ם׀ said uh-lay-HEM רְאוּבֵן֮ unto reh-oo-VANE אַל them, al תִּשְׁפְּכוּ Shed teesh-peh-HOO דָם֒ no dahm הַשְׁלִ֣יכוּ blood, hahsh-LEE-hoo אֹת֗וֹ but oh-TOH אֶל cast el הַבּ֤וֹר him HA-bore הַזֶּה֙ into ha-ZEH אֲשֶׁ֣ר this uh-SHER בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר pit ba-meed-BAHR וְיָ֖ד that veh-YAHD אַל is al תִּשְׁלְחוּ in teesh-leh-HOO ב֑וֹ the voh לְמַ֗עַן wilderness, leh-MA-an הַצִּ֤יל and ha-TSEEL אֹתוֹ֙ lay oh-TOH מִיָּדָ֔ם no mee-ya-DAHM לַֽהֲשִׁיב֖וֹ hand la-huh-shee-VOH אֶל upon el אָבִֽיו׃ him; ah-VEEV -

וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ֮ they va-yay-sheh-VOO לֶֽאֱכָל sat LEH-ay-hole לֶחֶם֒ down leh-HEM וַיִּשְׂא֤וּ to va-yees-OO עֵֽינֵיהֶם֙ eat ay-nay-HEM וַיִּרְא֔וּ bread: va-yeer-OO וְהִנֵּה֙ and veh-hee-NAY אֹֽרְחַ֣ת they oh-reh-HAHT יִשְׁמְעֵאלִ֔ים lifted yeesh-meh-ay-LEEM בָּאָ֖ה up ba-AH מִגִּלְעָ֑ד their mee-ɡeel-AD וּגְמַלֵּיהֶ֣ם eyes oo-ɡeh-ma-lay-HEM נֹֽשְׂאִ֗ים and noh-seh-EEM נְכֹאת֙ looked, neh-HOTE וּצְרִ֣י and, oo-tseh-REE וָלֹ֔ט behold, va-LOTE הֽוֹלְכִ֖ים a hoh-leh-HEEM לְהוֹרִ֥יד company leh-hoh-REED מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃ of meets-RA-yeh-ma -
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר Judah va-YOH-mer יְהוּדָ֖ה said yeh-hoo-DA אֶל unto el אֶחָ֑יו his eh-HAV מַה brethren, ma בֶּ֗צַע What BEH-tsa כִּ֤י profit kee נַֽהֲרֹג֙ is na-huh-ROɡE אֶת it et אָחִ֔ינוּ if ah-HEE-noo וְכִסִּ֖ינוּ we veh-hee-SEE-noo אֶת slay et דָּמֽוֹ׃ da-MOH -

וַיַּֽעַבְרוּ֩ there va-ya-av-ROO אֲנָשִׁ֨ים passed uh-na-SHEEM מִדְיָנִ֜ים by meed-ya-NEEM סֹֽחֲרִ֗ים Midianites soh-huh-REEM וַֽיִּמְשְׁכוּ֙ va-yeem-sheh-HOO וַיַּֽעֲל֤וּ merchantmen; va-ya-uh-LOO אֶת and et יוֹסֵף֙ they yoh-SAFE מִן drew meen הַבּ֔וֹר and HA-bore וַיִּמְכְּר֧וּ lifted va-yeem-keh-ROO אֶת up et יוֹסֵ֛ף yoh-SAFE לַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִ֖ים Joseph la-yeesh-meh-ay-LEEM בְּעֶשְׂרִ֣ים out beh-es-REEM כָּ֑סֶף of KA-sef וַיָּבִ֥יאוּ the va-ya-VEE-oo אֶת pit, et יוֹסֵ֖ף and yoh-SAFE מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃ sold meets-RA-yeh-ma -
וַיָּ֤שָׁב Reuben va-YA-shove רְאוּבֵן֙ returned reh-oo-VANE אֶל unto el הַבּ֔וֹר the HA-bore וְהִנֵּ֥ה pit; veh-hee-NAY אֵין and, ane יוֹסֵ֖ף behold, yoh-SAFE בַּבּ֑וֹר Joseph BA-bore וַיִּקְרַ֖ע was va-yeek-RA אֶת not et בְּגָדָֽיו׃ in beh-ɡa-DAIV -
וַיָּ֥שָׁב he va-YA-shove אֶל returned el אֶחָ֖יו unto eh-HAV וַיֹּאמַ֑ר his va-yoh-MAHR הַיֶּ֣לֶד brethren, ha-YEH-led אֵינֶ֔נּוּ and ay-NEH-noo וַֽאֲנִ֖י said, va-uh-NEE אָ֥נָה The AH-na אֲנִי child uh-NEE בָֽא׃ is va -
וַיִּקְח֖וּ they va-yeek-HOO אֶת took et כְּתֹ֣נֶת keh-TOH-net יוֹסֵ֑ף Joseph's yoh-SAFE וַֽיִּשְׁחֲטוּ֙ coat, va-yeesh-huh-TOO שְׂעִ֣יר and seh-EER עִזִּ֔ים killed ee-ZEEM וַיִּטְבְּל֥וּ a va-yeet-beh-LOO אֶת kid et הַכֻּתֹּ֖נֶת of ha-koo-TOH-net בַּדָּֽם׃ the ba-DAHM -
וַֽיְשַׁלְּח֞וּ they va-sha-leh-HOO אֶת sent et כְּתֹ֣נֶת keh-TOH-net הַפַּסִּ֗ים the ha-pa-SEEM וַיָּבִ֙יאוּ֙ coat va-ya-VEE-OO אֶל of el אֲבִיהֶ֔ם many uh-vee-HEM וַיֹּֽאמְר֖וּ colours, va-yoh-meh-ROO זֹ֣את and zote מָצָ֑אנוּ they ma-TSA-noo הַכֶּר brought ha-KER נָ֗א it na הַכְּתֹ֧נֶת to ha-keh-TOH-net בִּנְךָ֛ their been-HA הִ֖וא father; heev אִם and eem לֹֽא׃ said, loh -
וַיַּכִּירָ֤הּ he va-ya-kee-RA וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ knew va-YOH-MER כְּתֹ֣נֶת it, keh-TOH-net בְּנִ֔י and beh-NEE חַיָּ֥ה said, ha-YA רָעָ֖ה It ra-AH אֲכָלָ֑תְהוּ is uh-ha-LA-teh-hoo טָרֹ֥ף my ta-ROFE טֹרַ֖ף son's toh-RAHF יוֹסֵֽף׃ coat; yoh-SAFE -
וַיִּקְרַ֤ע Jacob va-yeek-RA יַֽעֲקֹב֙ rent ya-uh-KOVE שִׂמְלֹתָ֔יו his seem-loh-TAV וַיָּ֥שֶׂם clothes, va-YA-sem שַׂ֖ק and sahk בְּמָתְנָ֑יו put beh-mote-NAV וַיִּתְאַבֵּ֥ל sackcloth va-yeet-ah-BALE עַל upon al בְּנ֖וֹ his beh-NOH יָמִ֥ים loins, ya-MEEM רַבִּֽים׃ and ra-BEEM -
וַיָּקֻמוּ֩ all va-ya-koo-MOO כָל his hahl בָּנָ֨יו sons ba-NAV וְכָל and veh-HAHL בְּנֹתָ֜יו all beh-noh-TAV לְנַֽחֲמ֗וֹ his leh-na-huh-MOH וַיְמָאֵן֙ daughters vai-ma-ANE לְהִתְנַחֵ֔ם rose leh-heet-na-HAME וַיֹּ֕אמֶר up va-YOH-mer כִּֽי to kee אֵרֵ֧ד comfort ay-RADE אֶל him; el בְּנִ֛י but beh-NEE אָבֵ֖ל he ah-VALE שְׁאֹ֑לָה refused sheh-OH-la וַיֵּ֥בְךְּ to va-YAY-vek אֹת֖וֹ be oh-TOH אָבִֽיו׃ comforted; ah-VEEV -
