ಆದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು ಕೆಟ್ಟದರ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುವ ಮರದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು; ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಂದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವಿ ಅಂದನು.
