Ezra 5:8
ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾರ್ಯಾವೆಷನಿಗೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಮಾ ಧಾನವು. ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಾವು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಹಾದೇವರ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದೆವು; ಅದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ; ಗೋಡೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತೊಲೆಗಳು ಹೊದಿಸ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ; ಆ ಕೆಲಸವು ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವ ತೀರ್ಮಾನವೇನಂದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿ ಯಿಂದ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾದವನು ಆತನೇ. ಆತನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಾಶವಾಗದೆ ಆತನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಕೊನೆಯವರೆಗೂ ನಿಲ್ಲುವದು.

ಆ ಕೊನೆಯ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಾದ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರ ಲೋಕದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎತ್ತಿದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ನನಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂತು; ಆಗ ನಾನು ಮಹೋನ್ನತನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವಾತನೂ ನಿತ್ಯವಾದ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಆಳುವಾತನನ್ನು ತಲತಲಾಂತರಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಳ್ಳಾತನನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿ ಘನಪಡಿಸಿದೆನು.

ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ಸೂಚಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಚುರಪಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬದು ನನಗೆ ವಿಹಿತವಾಗಿ ತೋರಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಧಗಧಗನೆ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಆವಿಗೆಯ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ಓ ಶದ್ರಕ್ ಮೇಷಕ್ ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬವರೇ, ಮಹೋನ್ನತ ದೇವರ ಸೇವಕರೇ, ಹೊರಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎನ್ನಲು ಶದ್ರಕ್ ಮೇಷಕ್ ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬವರು ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದರು.

ಅರಸನು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನೀನು ಈ ರಹಸ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಮರ್ಥನಾದದರಿಂದ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ದೇವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿಯೂ ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಮಾಡುವಾತ ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ನಮ್ಮ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರ ಬಂಡೆ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ.

ಆತನು ದೇವಾಲಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಥಾ ತರವಾದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಎಂಥಾ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳು ಇವೆ ನೋಡು ಅಂದನು.
