ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನಾದ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನಿಗೆ ಎರಡನೆಯವನೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ರಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡವನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರ ಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಕನೂ ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮೇಲನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ವನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಂತಾನದವರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದನು.

ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಲ ಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅರಸನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸೇವಕರು ಬೊಗ್ಗಿ ಹಾಮಾನ ನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು. ಅರಸನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದನು, ಆದರೆ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈ ಬೊಗ್ಗದೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳದೆ ಇದ್ದನು.
1 ಸಮುವೇಲನು 23:17
ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಸೌಲನ ಕೈ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ನೀನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವಿ; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ಇರುವೆನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಆಗುವದೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಸೌಲನು ಸಹ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
