Ecclesiastes 2:21
ಜ್ಞಾನ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಟ್ಟ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದರೂ ಇವು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಪಾಲಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವನು. ಇದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೇಡೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.

ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ದನು.

ಯುದ್ಧದ ಆಯುಧಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಲೇಸು. ಆದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪಾಪಿಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ನೀನು ದೇವದಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದರಿಂದ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುವಿಯೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಉಂಡು, ಕುಡಿದು, ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾ ಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನಿನ್ನ ದುರ್ಲಾಭದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅಪರಾಧವಿಲ್ಲದವನ ರಕ್ತ ಚೆಲ್ಲುವದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೀಡೆಯನ್ನೂ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುವದರ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಮತ್ತಾವದರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
