Deuteronomy 2:24
ಏಳಿರಿ, ಹೊರಡಿರಿ; ಅರ್ನೋನ್ ನದಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿರಿ; ಇಗೋ, ಹೆಷ್ಬೋನಿನ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಅಮೋರಿಯನಾದ ಸೀಹೋನನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಮಾಡು. ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಜಗಳವಾಡಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡು.

ಪಾರಸಿಯ ಅರಸನಾದ ಕೊರೇಷನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಪರಲೋಕದ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಭೂಲೋಕದ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆತನು ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನಗೆ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಲು ನನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವವರು ಯಾರು? ಅವನು ಹೋಗಲಿ, ಅವನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರಲಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಈ ವಿಷಯವು ಪಾಲಕರ ಕಟ್ಟಡದಿಂದಲೂ ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಯು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರ ಮಾತಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು; ಮಹೋ ನ್ನತನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂದೂ ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದವರಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆಂದೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಚರಾದವರನ್ನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೇಮಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆಂದೂ ಜೀವಂತರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದೇ ಸಾರಿದನು.
