ಕಳಂಕ ಇಲ್ಲ ದವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಸುಂದರರಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಕಲ ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೀಣರಾಗಿಯೂ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಪುಣರಾ ಗಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವ ರಾಗಿಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ತಂದು ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನೂ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಆತ್ಮವುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ದೇವ ರುಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನೊಳಗೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದವು. ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರ ಅರಸನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರಿಗೂ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರಿಗೂ ಶಕುನಗಾರರಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಹೊಗಳಲ್ಪ ಡತಕ್ಕ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನಾದ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ವುಳ್ಳವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನ ಅಂಗಾಲು ಮೊದಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ನಡುನೆತ್ತಿಯ ವರೆಗೂ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಳಂಕವಾದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇತ್ತು.

ದಾನಿಯೇ ಲನು--ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸ್ತುತಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ಬಲವೂ ಆತನದಾಗಿದೆ;

ಆಗ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಸನು ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರನ್ನೂ ಜೋತಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಮಾಟ ಗಾರರನ್ನೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಯಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ ದನು; ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಂದು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತರು.

ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯುಳ್ಳವನನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡಿ ದ್ದೀಯಾ? ಅವನು ನೀಚರ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಅರಸರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ನಿಲ್ಲುವನು.

ಆ ಸಮಯ ದಲ್ಲೇ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ದಿವ್ಯ ಸುಂದರನಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಸಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಿರುಚಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರನ್ನೂ ಶಕುನರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಸಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಯಾವನೂ ಈ ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವನೋ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಧೂಮ್ರವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಹಾರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು 4:7
ಆಗ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರು, ಜೋತಿಷ್ಯರು, ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು, ಶಕುನಗಾರರು ಒಳಗೆ ಬಂದರು; ನಾನು ಕನಸನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು 3:8
ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೂರು ಹೊರಿಸಲು ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಬಂದು

ಆಗ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಭೂಲೋಕ ದಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಅರಸನಾದರೂ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಭುವಾದರೂ ಯಾವ ಯಜಮಾನನಾದರೂ ಯಾವೊಬ್ಬ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರನಲ್ಲೂ ಜೋತಿಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯನಲ್ಲೂ ಇಂಥ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು 2:4
ಆಗ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅರಮಾಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿ ದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಓ ಅರಸನೇ, ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಬಾಳು, ಕನಸನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು; ಆಗ ನಾವು ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವೆವು ಅಂದರು.
ಪ್ರಸಂಗಿ 7:19
ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಿಗಿಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
