ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 40

1 ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾದಿದ್ದೆನು; ಆತನು ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ಮೊರೆ ಯನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು.

2 ಆತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾಶನದ ಕುಣಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಮತ್ತು ಬುರುದೆಯ ಕೆಸರಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಎತ್ತಿ ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿದನು.

3 ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂತನ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅದು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವೇ; ಅನೇಕರು ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡುವರು.

4 ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಭರವಸವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸದೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಸುಳ್ಳಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ದೆಯೂ ಇರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಧನ್ಯನು.

6 ಯಜ್ಞದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀನು ಇಷ್ಟ ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ಪಾಪದಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ತೆರೆದಿ;

7 ಆಗ ನಾನು--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಸುರುಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಬರೆದದೆ.

8 ಓ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ನನ್ನ ಅಂತರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೆ.

9 ನಾನು ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇಗೋ, ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬ ಸಂಗತಿ ನೀನು ತಿಳಿದವ ನಾಗಿದ್ದೀ.

10 ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಕರುಣೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

11 ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಅಂತಃಕರುಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಹಿಂತೆಗೆಯಬೇಡ; ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಕರುಣೆಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸತ್ಯವೂ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಯಲಿ.

12 ಲೆಕ್ಕ ವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ಕೇಡುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲು ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ; ನಾನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡಲಾರದಷ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದವೆ; ಅವು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಕೂದಲು ಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿವೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿತು.

13 ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ, ಓ ಕರ್ತನೆ, ನನ್ನ ಸಹಾ ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತ್ವರೆಪಡು.

14 ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಲು ಅದನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆಶಾಭಂಗಪಟ್ಟು ಲಜ್ಜೆಪಡಲಿ; ನನ್ನ ಕೇಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವವರು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅವ ಮಾನ ಹೊಂದಲಿ.

15 ಆಹಾ, ಆಹಾ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವವರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯ ಫಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹಾಳಾಗಲಿ;

16 ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರೆಲ್ಲರು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಪಟ್ಟು ಸಂತೋಷಿಸಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡುವ ವರು--ಕರ್ತನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಯಾವಾ ಗಲೂ ಹೇಳಲಿ.

17 ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ದೀನನೂ ಬಡ ವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದರೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಸಹಾಯವೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವಾ ತನೂ ನೀನೇ; ಓ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ತಡ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ.

2 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

3 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

4 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

5 Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

6 Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

7 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

8 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

9 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

10 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest.

11 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

12 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

13 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.

14 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.

15 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

16 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.

17 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.

18 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
