ಮಾಣಿಕ್ಯ ಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಉತ್ತಮ, ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡತಕ್ಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗದು.

ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಇಡೀ ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ನಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಲಾಭವೇನು? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಏನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಾನು?

ಹೌದು, ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿರುವ ಅತಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಟವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ನಷ್ಟವೆಂದೆಣಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಕಳಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಸವೆಂದೆಣಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
