ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಷ್ಕಪಟ ವಾದ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ನನ್ನ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬಂತು. ಆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಮೊದಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಾದ ಲೋವಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಯೂನೀಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿತ್ತು: ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನೀನು ಪರಿಶುದ ಬರಹಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ; ಆ ಬರಹಗಳು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿಸುವ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಕ್ತವಾಗಿವೆ.

ಯಾಕೆ ಎಂಬವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಗೂರನ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳು; ಇವನು ಇಥಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಹೌದು, ಇಥಿಯೇಲನಿಗೂ ಉಕ್ಕಾಲ ನಿಗೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
