Nehemiah 5:12
ಅದಕ್ಕವರುನಾವು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಅವರಿಂದ ಏನೂ ಕೇಳು ವದಿಲ್ಲ. ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂದರು. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವರು ಈ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡೆನು.

ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಾದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಜೀವಸ್ವರೂಪನಾದ ದೇವರ ಆಣೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಎಂದೂ ದೇಶದ ಜನರು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಕುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಮಾರಲುತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಅವ ರಿಂದ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ನಾವು ಏಳನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೈ ಸಾಲವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುತ್ತೇ ವೆಂದೂ ಶಪಥಕ್ಕೂ ಆಣೆಗೂ ಒಳಗಾದರು.
