John 18:23
ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡು; ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುತ್ತೀ ಅಂದನು.

ನಿಮ್ಮೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ದೀನನಾಗಿಯೂ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗೆ ದಿಟ್ಟತನ ತೋರಿಸುವವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಪೌಲನೆಂಬ ನಾನೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಶಾಂತ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಸಾತ್ವಿಕತ್ವದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ತಪ್ಪುಮಾಡಿ ಗುದ್ದು ತಿನ್ನುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ತಾಳ್ಮೆ ಯಿಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದರಿಂದೇನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ? ಆದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬಾಧೆಪಡುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯಿಂದಿ ದ್ದರೆ ಇದು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಂಗೀಕೃತವಾಗಿದೆ.
