Jeremiah 32:16
ನಾನು ಆ ಕ್ರಯಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ನೇರೀಯನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಬಾರೂಕನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು--

ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ವಾದಿಸುವಾಗ ನೀನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದವುಗಳನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಬಿಡು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಸಫಲವಾಗುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ಮಹಾವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡು ವವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಯಾಕೆ ಸುಖವಾಗಿರುವರು.

ಯಾವ ಸಂಬಂಧ ವಾಗಿಯೂ ಚಿಂತೆಮಾಡದೆ ಸರ್ವವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾಸ್ತುತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯ ಪಡಿಸಿರಿ.

ಆಗ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು--ಓ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಇಷ್ಟರ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ತಂದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟರವನು? ನನ್ನ ಮನೆ ಎಷ್ಟರದು?

ಹಾಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಈ ದೇಶವು ಏದೆನಿನ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನದ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತೆಂದು ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗಿ ಬೀಡಾಗಿ ನಶಿಸಿ ಹೋಗಿರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ನಾಡಾಗಿ ಕೋಟೆಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು.
