ಅವರು ಜೆರುಬ್ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೂಡ ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತೇವೆ; ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವ ರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೇವೆ; ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಎಸರ್ಹದೋನನ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಆತನಿಗೆ ನಾವೂ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.

ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಕೂತಾ ಅವ್ವಾ ಹಮಾತ್ ಸೆಫರ್ವಯಿಮಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಜನರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬದ ಲಾಗಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದನು. ಇವರು ಸಮಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದರು.
