ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ಭೂಮಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಜನಾಂಗವು ಯಾವದು? ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಜನಾಂಗ ಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿ ನಿನಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದಂಥ ಭಯಂಕರ ವಾದಂಥ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಲು ದೇವರಾದ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಜನರಾದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಲು ಹೋದಿ.

ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವದರಿಂದಲೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಲವಾದ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದಾಸತ್ವದ ಮನೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದನು.

ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಸಾಡಿ. ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಾನಾಗಿರು ವೆನು ಅಂದೆನು.
ಯೆಶಾಯ 9:17
ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರ ಅನಾಥರನ್ನೂ ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನೂ ಕರುಣಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಕಪಟಿಯೂ ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರ ಬಾಯಿಯೂ ಮೂರ್ಖತನದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ ಆತನ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನೂ ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.
