ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರತಕ್ಕ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ವರೆಗೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಮನ್ನವನ್ನು ತಿಂದರು. ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದ ಮೇರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಅವರು ಮನ್ನವನ್ನು ತಿಂದರು.
