Exodus 16:25
ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು--ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ಊಟಮಾಡಿರಿ, ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಈ ದಿನವು ಕರ್ತನ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ (ಆಹಾರ) ಸಿಕ್ಕುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಅವನು--ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಆರನೆಯ ದಿನ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಲಿ, ಏಳನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
