ಆಗ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ದಾವೀದನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಬಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಹೇಸರ ಕತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿದ್ದನು. ಆ ಹೇಸರ ಕತ್ತೆಯು ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಏಲಾ ಮರದ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವನ ತಲೆಯು ಆ ಮರದ ಕೊಂಬೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹೇಸರ ಕತ್ತೆಯು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಯಿತು.
