ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಾಳ್ಷಾಲಿಷಾದಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನು ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲ ಫಲವಾದ ಜವೆಗೋದಿಯ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಾಳಿ ನಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದನು.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೂ ಶಾಲೀಷಾ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ದಾಟಿಹೋದನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವು ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ಶಾಲೀಮ್ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಾದುಹೋದನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವುಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದವು. ಅವನು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ದರೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋದನು.

ಎಲೀಷನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ದೇಶ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರ ಉಂಟಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆನೀನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗಡಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಮೇಲಿಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಬೇಯಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
