ಆದದರಿಂದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಹಾಜನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿ ಸಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸುಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನೂ ಅಹ ಜ್ಯನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಸಕಲ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದನು.

ಆಗ ಆಸನು ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಿಂದಲೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ದಮಸ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಬೆನ್ಹದದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ಇದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಉಂಟು.

ತಾನೂ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯೂ ಬಂಗಾರವೂ ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳೂ ಅಂತೂ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದನು.
