ಅವಳು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ನೂರಿಪ್ಪತ್ತು ತಲಾಂತು ತೂಕ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ಬಹು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಸುಗಂಧಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. ಶೆಬದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಂಥ ಸುಂಗಧಗಳು ತರುವಾಯ ಬಂದದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ನೀನು ಪರಿಮಳಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಹಾಲುಮಡ್ಡಿ ಗುಗ್ಗುಲ ಗಂಧದ ಚೆಕ್ಕೆ ಎಂಬ ಪರಿಮಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಸಾಂಬ್ರಾಣಿಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ. ಅವು ಸಮತೂಕವಾಗಿರಲಿ.

1 ಶೆಬದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಒಗಟುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸಲು ಅವಳು ಮಹಾಗುಂಪಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸುಗಂಧಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಹು ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಳು. ಅವಳು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತಾ ಡಿದಳು.

ಅವರವರು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಯುಧ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸುಗಂಧಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೇಸರ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ವರುಷ ವರುಷಕ್ಕೂ ನೇಮಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
