ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು, ಮೊದ ಲನೆಯವುಗಳೂ ಕಡೆಯವುಗಳೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಶೀಲೋವಿನವನಾದ ಅಹೀಯನ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಇದ್ದೋವನು ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮ ನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ದರ್ಶನಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವಲ್ಲವೋ?

ಕರ್ತನು ನಾತಾನನನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಒಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿದ್ದರು; ಒಬ್ಬನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನು, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಬಡವನು.
