ಆಸನು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಓದೇದನ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಬಲಗೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮಿನ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಹಿಡಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ಕರ್ತನ ದ್ವಾರಾಂಗಳದ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಕರ್ತನ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ನೂತನ ಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
