ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ಭಾರವಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ನಾನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿಸುವೆನು; ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊರಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು; ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಚೇಳುಗಳಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವನು ಅಹಾಬನ ಮನೆಯವರ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಂದೆ ಸತ್ತ ತರುವಾಯ ಇವರು ಅವರ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲಸದ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವ್ಯವಸಾಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧವಾದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿ ದುಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಜೀವನ ವನ್ನು ಬೇಸರಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಅವರಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೇವೆಯೂ ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
