ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೋವಾಬನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷೈಯು ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಮಂದಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮೂವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮೂವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯೋವಾ ಬನೂ ಅಬಿಷೈಯೂ ಅಸಾಹೇಲನೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅಸಾಹೇಲನು ಅಡವಿಯ ಜಿಂಕೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಪಾದ ತ್ವರಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನು ಅಬೀಷೈಗೆಈಗ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಿಗಿಂತ ಬಿಕ್ರಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೆಬನು ನಮಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವನು. ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ಗಡಿ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾ ದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟು ಅಂದನು.

ಆದರೆ ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬೀಷೈಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯವಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ದನು. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಜನರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಬಿಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟರು.

ಯೋವಾಬನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಅಬೀಷೈಯು ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮೂವ ರೊಳಗೆ ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡನು.
