1 Chronicles 18:4
ದಾವೀದನು ಅವ ನಿಂದ ಸಾವಿರ ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಏಳು ಸಾವಿರ ರಾಹುತ ರನ್ನೂ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಾಲಾಳುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡನು. ದಾವೀದನು ನೂರು ರಥಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ ಇತರ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಕಾಲುನರ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯಿಸಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಜನಗಳನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಬಾರದು; ಆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಇನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗ ಬಾರದೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನಲ್ಲಾ.
ಯೆಹೋಶುವ 11:6
ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ನಾಳೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪ ಡುವಂತೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವೆನು. ನೀನು ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಹಿಂಗಾಲಿನ ನರವನ್ನು ಕೊಯಿದು ಅವರ ರಥಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.

ಕರ್ತನು ತನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಯೆಹೋಶು ವನು ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಹಿಂಗಾಲಿನ ನರವನ್ನು ಕೊಯಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ರಥಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಾಹುತರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಾವಿರದ ನಾನೂರು ರಥಗಳೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಾನು ಇರಿಸಿದ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ಕುದುರೆಯ ರಾಹುತರೂ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಯಾವ ಅರಸನೂ ಅಧಿಕವಾದ ಸೈನ್ಯದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಪರಾಕ್ರಮ ಶಾಲಿಯು ಅಧಿಕಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
