ಆಗ ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಒಂದು ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ಏಫಾದ ಹಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಳಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ರಸವನ್ನು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಯಿದು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಆತನ ಬಳಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದಿಟ್ಟನು.

Judges 13:15
ಮಾನೋ ಹನು ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವ ವರೆಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಬೇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
