Judges 19:18
ಅವನು ಇವನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗು ತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯವನು; ಈಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಮನೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆದರೆ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದಿನ ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಎದ್ದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನು ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಎದ್ದಾಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ತಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ಅಳಿಯನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸಿಕೋ; ತರುವಾಯ ನೀವು ಹೋಗಬಹುದು ಅಂದನು.
Judges 20:18
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎದ್ದು ದೇವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗ ಬೇಕಾ ದವರು ಯಾರೆಂದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನು -- ಯೊಹೂದ ಕುಲದವರು ಮೊದಲು ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.

ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಅವನು ಪ್ರತಿಸಂವತ್ಸರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇವಳು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹನ್ನಳನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ; ಅವಳು ಅತ್ತು ಊಟ ಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದಳು.
Psalm 26:9
ಪಾಪಾತ್ಮರ ಸಂಗಡ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ತ ಸುರಿಸುವವರ ಸಂಗಡ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಡ.
