ಜನರು ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಬಂದು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ಮೂಡಣ ಮೇರೆಯಾದ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದು ಕೊಂಡರು.

ಆದರೆ ಬೇತೇಲನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗ ಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವದು. ಬೇತೇಲು ಏನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುವದು.
