ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಿನ್ನೆರೋತಿಗೆ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಬೈಲಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಗ್ಗುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದೋರಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೂ

ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವ ಆಶೇರಿನಿಂದ ಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವ ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರನ ವರೆಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು. ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆಶೇರನ ಮಧ್ಯದ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಮೂರು ಸೀಮೆಗಳಾದ ಬೇತ್ಷೆ ಯಾನ್ ಇಬ್ಲೆಯಾಮ್ ದೋರ್ ಎಂದೋರ್ ತಾನಕ್ ಮೆಗಿದ್ದೋನ್ ಅವುಗಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳೂ ಇವು ಮನಸ್ಸೆ ಯವು.

ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಬಂದು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ದೇಶವಾದ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೆಬೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅನಾಬಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯೂದನ ಸಕಲ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಕಲ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದ ಅನಾಕ್ಯ ರನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ತೆಂಕಣ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ತಗ್ಗಿನ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ನೀರು ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಅರಸು ಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸದೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಶ್ವಾಸವುಳ್ಳದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನ ಜನರು--ಪರ್ವತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ಅರಸುಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡದೆ ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಳೆಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
