ಅವರು ಯೋಹಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ--ಗುರುವೇ, ಇಗೋ, ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬಾತನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಾ; ಆತನೂ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದರು.
