ಕರ್ತನು ಸೈತಾನನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಅವನದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೆ; ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈ ಹಾಕಬೇಡ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಸೈತಾನನು ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟನು.
