ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಎದೋಮ್ನ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಕಲ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಶೇಷವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದೂ ಶಾಫಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಹೀಕಾಮನ ಮಗನಾದ

ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು--ಎದೋಮು ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೂದನ ಮನೆತನದವರಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಮತ್ತು ಅತಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇಡು ತೀರಿಸಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕೆಲವನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೆರಗುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟು ಅಂದನು.
