Jeremiah 37:7
ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟ ಫರೋಹನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಅದರ ಸ್ವದೇಶವಾದ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗುವದು.

ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಶೆಲೆಮ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೂಕಲನನ್ನೂ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಮಾಸೇಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಚೆಫನ್ಯನನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಸಿದನು.
Isaiah 31:1
1 ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿ ಅಶ್ವ ಬಲವನ್ನು ರಥವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೊ! ರಥಗಳು ಬಹಳವೆಂದೂ ಸವಾರರು ಬಹು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರೆಂದೂ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಭರವಸವಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಇಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸು (ಹುಡು ಕು)ವದಿಲ್ಲ.
Ezekiel 29:16

ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಷ್ಟು ಏಕೆ ತಿರುಗಾಡುತ್ತೀ? ನೀನು ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುವಿ.
Isaiah 30:1
ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ. ತಿರುಗಿ ಬೀಳುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಅವರು ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನಿಂದಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾಗದೆ ಉಪಾಯವನ್ನು ನೇಯ್ದು ಪಾಪದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯಾವ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
