Jeremiah 2:6
ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಡೂ ಕುಣಿಗಳೂ ಉಳ್ಳ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕ್ಷಾಮದ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣದ ನೆರಳಾದಂಥ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಒಬ್ಬರೂ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗದೆ ಯಾರೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡದೆ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಸಿದ ಕರ್ತನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆಗ ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಮಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ್ದೇನು? ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಆತನ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಈಗ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
