ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ತೆರೆದ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ನುಂಗಿ ಬಿಡುವರು; ಇಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ ಆತನ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನೂ ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.

ನಾನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೈದಿಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಮುದುರಿಕೊಂಡು, ಹತರಾಗಿರುವವರ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವದೇ ಇವರ ಗತಿ. ಇಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ ಆತನ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನೂ ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇರುವದು.

Isaiah 9:17
ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರ ಅನಾಥರನ್ನೂ ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನೂ ಕರುಣಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಕಪಟಿಯೂ ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರ ಬಾಯಿಯೂ ಮೂರ್ಖತನದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ ಆತನ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನೂ ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.
Jeremiah 35:11
ಆದರೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ನಾವು--ಬನ್ನಿ, ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ದಂಡಿಗೂ ಅರಾಮಿನ ದಂಡಿಗೂ ಎಡೆಯಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಅಂದೆವು. ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.

ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗೋಣಿತಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸಿರಿ, ಗೋಳಾಡಿರಿ; ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪದ ಉರಿಯು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಉರಿಯು ವದು. ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡುವೆನು; (ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳು) ಅವ ರನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿ ಬಿಡುವರು; ಬಹಳ ಕೇಡುಗಳೂ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು ಗಳೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವವು; ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು--ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಈ ಕೇಡುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದವಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು.
