ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಗ ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆವಾರ್ತೆಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತಾಕ ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು--ಇದೇನೆಂದೂ ಯಾತಕ್ಕೆಂದೂ ಮೊರ್ದೆ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾ ಪಿಸಿದಳು.

ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಗಳಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ರಾಣಿಯಾದ ವಷ್ಟಿಯು -- ನಾನು ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅರಸನು ಬಹು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಉಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಉರಿದನು.
