ಫರೋಹನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಪಶುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೂ ಸತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಫರೋಹನ ಹೃದಯವು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
